Task force arrests Keokuk man on possession charges

LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk man on Felony and Misdemeanor charges.
James Moore, 37, of Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on October 17th, 2020 in the 1200 Block of Missouri Ave. in Keokuk, Iowa.

Moore was charged with Possession with Intent to deliver more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine 2nd Offense a Class B Felony; Possession with Intent to deliver Buprenorphine, a Schedule III Controlled Substance 2nd Offense a Class C Felony; Possession with Intent to deliver Psilocybin Mushrooms 2nd Offense a Class C Felony; Possession with Intent to deliver Marijuana 2nd Offense a Class D Felony; Violation of Drug Tax Stamp a Class D Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor.
The arrest of Moore stems from the Keokuk Police Department making contact with a reported suspicious vehicle in the area. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force was contacted to assist with furthering this investigation.

The Keokuk Police Department, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
