Fort Madison Police Report
11/04/20 - 5:23 a.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 800 block of Avenue E.
11/04/20 - 9:17 a.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 5000 block of Avenue O.
11/04/20 - 10:59 a.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 700 block of 34th Street.
11/04/20 - 1:38 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1100 block of Avenue E.
11/04/20 - 2:14 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 2000 block of Avenue B.
11/04/20 - 5:06 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the Fort Madison area.

Lee County Sheriff's Report
11/04/20 - 11:02 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Benjamin Isaiah Mitchell, 36 of Morning Sun, in the 1800 block of Avenue A, on a charge of impersonating a public official.
11/04/20 - 3:50 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the 2000 block of Hwy 103. According to the report a vehicle driven by Jared Neal Plate, 44, of Fort Madison was attempting to pass a grain truck and tractor, but another vehicle driven by David Wayne Tallman, Jr., 61, of Fort Madison, with yellow flashing lights was behind the grain tractor and also attempted to pass the tractor causing the two passing vehicles to collide. No injuries were reported and no citations were listed on the report.
11/04/20 - 5:28 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Tyler Lee Alford, 26, of Iowa City, at the sheriff's office on a charge of 2nd-degree sexual abuse with a victim under 12 years of age.
11/05/20 - 6:15 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Andrew Michael Schiedel, 32, of Fort Madison, at the sheriff's office on a charge of being a fugitive from justice.
Those listed above are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
