Christmas for Kids & Teens in full swing

FORT MADISON - From now through December 16, 2020, Christmas for Kids and Teens is collecting new, unwrapped toys for Kids ages birth to 12, and money for gift cards for teens ages 13 to 18.

The program is for North Lee County, and will help disadvantaged families in the area to give presents to their kids for Christmas. Monetary donations to CFK&T, can be mailed to PO Box 434, Fort Madison, IA.

Please look for toy collection boxes at your church, and at the following area businesses: Ameriprise Financial Josh Denning, Climax, Columbus Club (KofC), Connections Bank, Daily Democrat, Dollar General East, Dollar General Montrose, Dollar General West Point, Shug’s Tiny Town, Dupont/Axalta, Farmers Savings Bank Denmark, Farmers Savings Bank Wever, Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison Public Library, Fullenkamp Insurance West Point, Huffman's Farm and Home, Hy-Vee, Iowa Fertilizer Company, Kempker's True Value, Lee County Bank, Lee County Sheriff, Midtown Hair Salon, Midwest One Bank, Mobile Nursing, Paper Pak LLC, Pilot Grove Savings Bank, Pinnacle Foods (Con Agra), Scott's, Sunnybrook, Walgreen's, West Point Public Library, YMCA – Fort Madison.

Thanks to all the businesses and churches, for helping us make Christmas special for families in our area, especially at this difficult time. Your donations are truly appreciated.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, please abide by the mask rules and any other safety requirements of the business you are donating to.

Applications are available in person at the Fort Madison Food Pantry, or on Dec. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fort Madison Public Library.

Applicants must provide proof of identification, proof of residency and proof of income including documentation of federal or state aid, and any unemployment or employment pay stubs.
