Fundraiser underway after trap shooting accident

KAHOKA - On September 3, 2020 a parent's worst nightmare; receiving a call that your child has been shot. That evening was no different that any others, a group of FFA trap shooting members gathering for a practice shoot. Unfortunately there was a fellow classmates gun that was loaded and it fell over, discharging. In that split second a young man's life changed dramatically.
Bryton, the son of Mark and Hillary Plenge, is a junior enrolled at Clark County R-1 School that is in for a battle that no 16 year old should have to endure. He was accidentally shot in the lower right leg. He was air lifted to University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital where he has undergone several surgeries, with many more to go. To help the family offset travel and medical expenses as well as taking time off from work, a quilt raffle is going to be held for Bryton.
Chances for the quilt can be purchased in person or electronically. Tickets are 1 for $5 or 3 for $10. The queen size quilt measures 96"x110". The drawing for the quilt will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Need not be present to win and the quilt can be mailed if the winner is not from northeast Missouri.

Due to contributions made by Paca's Patchwork from Kahoka, MO and Premier Dirt Promotions from Middletown, IA, the cost of the materials used to complete the quilt has been covered, therefore, all monies raised will go directly to Bryton and his family. Let us bless this family that endured such a tragedy.
