Oweda Irene Schneider, 99, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Fort Madison Community Hospital.  She was born on December 1, 1921 in Haskell, OK to John P. & Myrtle H. Craker Green.  She married Harold W. “Bill” Schneider, Sr. on April 21, 1944 in Muskogee, OK.  He preceded her in death on May 24, 1990.  She was a former bookkeeper, worked at Spurgeon’s Department Store and retired as the matron at the King’s Daughters Home with 7 years of service.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Burlington, IA, Fort Madison Senior Citizens, R.S.V.P., VFW Auxiliary and the Fort Madison Community Hospital Auxiliary.

       Oweda is survived by: 1-Daughter: Susan Beach of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: Harold “Bill” (Linda) Schneider, Jr. of High Point, NC & Michael (Dee) Schneider of Evansville, IN; 4-grandchildren: Dr. Nancy Smith, Juston Hauck, Jason Schneider, Shawn Schneider & 7-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, 2-brothers: Robert & Roland Green & 1-sister: Catherine Brown.
