Helen McMillan, 94 years, of  Fort Madison, Iowa died at 8:16 pm Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa.  She was born March 15, 1926 at Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter of E. Paul and Grace (Mason) Naney.  On August 12, 1951, she married Reverend Gordon Charles McMillan at Dubuque Iowa.  He preceded her in death September 7, 1997.

She was a musician and teacher.  She was an organist at the First Christian Church and Union Presbyterian Church, and was an accompanist for the Pen City Singers.  In the past she was active with United Methodist Women and P.E.O.  

She is survived by three daughters: Donna Marie McMillan (Carrie Blazek) of Silver Spring, Maryland; Kathy Sue (Griff) Macy of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Lisa (Curtis) Jones of Fort Madison, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Virginia Naney of Urbandale, Iowa; three grandchildren: Heather Beelman, Joshua Beelman, and Nathan (Amanda) Jones; and four great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Pat Ehrler, and one brother, Dick Naney.

Per her wishes her body has been cremated.  A graveside service and burial will be held at a later date at the Long Creek Cemetery, Danville, Iowa.  A memorial has been established for the Great River Hospice House, contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the McMillan Family and an online guest book may be found at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
