Thomas Edison Gilman, Jr.,71, of Farmington, IA, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 12:12 p.m. at his home.He was born on August 10, 1949 in Fort Madison, IA to Thomas and Josephine Kulp Gilman, Sr.On April 26, 1969 he married Marilyn Dodson in Fort Madison, IA.Tom was a fur buyer.He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and cutting firewood.

       Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Gilman of Farmington, IA; one daughter, Denni (Tony) Nye of Burlington, IA; one son, Scott Gilman of Burlington, IA; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Pat Poggemiller of Burlington, IA; three brothers, Keith (Barb) Gilman of Fort Madison, IA, Steve Gilman of Montrose, IA and Dan (Cindy) Gilman of Robertsville, MO; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 1-son in infancy, Dale.

       A public visitation will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  Following the visitation, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Monty Habben & Minister Tony Nye officiating.  Burial will be held at Soldiers’ Circle in Oakland Cemetery with military rites performed by the Fort Madison Veterans Honor Guard.  A memorial has been established in Tom’s memory.  Online condolences to the family and a video of the service may be found at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory’s website: www.kinglynk.com.
