Carole E. Ploeckelmann,79 of Ft. Madison, passed away at 7:40 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at her home.

   She was born on June 4, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI to Malcolm and Helen Davis Azinger.  On January 28, 1961 she married Roger A. Ploeckelmann in Milwaukee and he passed away on December 3, 2018.  Carole was a homemaker.  She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Keokuk.  Carole enjoyed quilting and sewing for her granddaughter.

   Survivors include one daughter, Tami (Joe) Sanchez of Ft. Madison; one son, Bret Ploeckelmann of Kewanee, WI; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua and Shelby and four great grandchildren Aniah, Arijanna, Zeriah and Aurora.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

   The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11 AM at the First Lutheran Church in Keokuk, 1101 Blondeau Street, Keokuk.  Reverend Rodney Underwood will officiate.  The family will meet with friends from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.  Burial will be in Sandusky Cemetery.
