FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Community Hospital recognized Michelle McGhghy as their November Employee of the Month. Michelle works as the Occupational Health/Wound Care Clinic Coordinator at FMCH. She has been with FMCH for seven years. She was recognized with this nomination:
This employee is an absolute superstar when it comes to living the CREDO. Throughout the COVID journey she has managed the employee sick list to ensure that staff are returning to work safely and efficiently. COVID protocols have required her to work extra hours and she does so with a smile, always putting others before herself! This employee embodies all elements of the CREDO, but one that particularly sticks out is her commitment to safety and high performance. Without her diligently doing her job, there could be potential health risks to staff and our patients. This employee is always positive, helpful and never has a complaint, the word "no" does not exist in her vocabulary. She always goes above and beyond and has proven time and time again to be a team player. FMCH is very lucky to have staff like her, who are friendly, passionate and always do the right thing.
McGhghy shared her appreciation for her staff and the entire organization, “The Occupational Health & Wound staff are the true MVP’s. This team makes me look good! The entire organization mentors me. I learn something new every day. Empathy and compassion all around – I’m lucky to be surrounded by great people.”
When not at work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Todd, and their three children, cooking, and watching football.
The Employee of the Month is an initiative developed by the Reward & Recognition team. Each month a FMCH employee is honored for going above, and beyond for the good of the patient, their co-workers and the organization.
