Task force gets Keokuk man on drug charges, warrant

KEOKUK - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk man on misdemeanor drug charges.

The arrests of the following individual stems from a search warrant conducted by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force after the Keokuk Police Department responded to 2928 S. 7th St. in Keokuk for a report of a burglary in progress and observed illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the residence.

MILLER

Lane Miller, 34, of Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on January 3rd, 2021. Miller was charged with 3 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance to include methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription pills, each a Serious Misdemeanor; 2 counts of Unlawful Possession of Prescription Pills, each a Serious Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. Miller will also be held at the Lee County Jail on an outstanding warrant.

The Keokuk Police Department, Lee County Attorney’s Office, and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
