FMMS boys take two from Washington
LEE COUNTY - The Fort Madison boys 8th grade "A" basketball team rolled past Washington in a Southeast Conference matchup 49-22.
Caden Barnes led the boys with 15 points followed by Dayton Lamar with 11 and Aiden Mitchell all in double figures with 10. Justin Maither had seven, Brody Cashman chipped win with four and Jackson Guzman had two points in the win.
In the "B" game, Washington won a close 26-23 game. Noah Swigart had 12 points for Fort Madison.
The Hounds play again Monday at Burlington.

Little Hound wrestlers win 32 of 39 matches
The Fort Madison junior high wrestling team won 17 of 21 matches at Washington Tuesday, and 15 of 18 matches on Jan. 12 at Fairfield.
Triston Marshall, Gavin Callahan both went 5-0 in the two matches. All of Marshall's wins were by pin, while Callahan had four pins. Marcus Guzman had four wins all by fall and Calvin Johnson and Gavyn Siemens both went 5-1 combining for nine pins.
Aaron Warner went 4-0 with three falls. Logan Pennock was 4-1 recording three pins over the two matches.
The Hounds wrestle again on Tuesday at home.

HTC and Central Lee junior high boys split
Mason Kruse had 11 points for Holy Trinity as the Crusaders downed Central Lee on Monday. Adam Sobczak had seven points for HTC.
Brayden Wyrick led Central Lee with 10 points. Chase Johnson had five in the 32-21 loss.
In the 7th grade boys game, Central Lee won 29-18.
Will Hayes had 10 points and four rebounds. Owen Swan at seven points and four board for the Hawks.
Nathan Box had six points for Holy Trinity. Jameson Denning and Layne Rung each had five in the loss.
Central Takes on New London Thursday night on the road.
