Joy Boyle, 50 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at her home.  She was born November 30, 1970 in Fort Madison, a daughter of William R and JoAnn (Brown) Lunn.  She married James Boyle.  They were married 28 years and had two daughters, Courtney and Tiffany.  

Joy lived in Fort Madison all her life and graduated from Fort Madison High School.  She attended Harmony Bible Church, and did Community Bible Study for years.  She enjoyed her dogs, taking them and the grandkids for walks when she could.  She was always taking pictures and scrap booked many memories.  Joy had a big heart, she would do anything for anyone.  She loved and was loved by her family and friends!

She is survived by her husband, James Boyle of Fort Madison; two daughters, Courtney (Tim) Mason and Tiffany Boyle; and three grandchildren: Brittany, Ashley, and Wyatt; all of Fort Madison.  Other family members include her mother, JoAnn Messmer of Fort Madison; one sister, Margie (Dennis) Gnann of Wever, Iowa; two half brothers, Jim Smalley of Iowa and Ralph Smalley of Wisconsin; one step brother, John Messmer of Texas; an aunt, nieces, and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, step-father John Messmer, one brother Bill Lunn, and one step sister-in-law Deb Messmer.  

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 13, 2021 at The Crossing - Keokuk, 610 Timea Street, Keokuk, Iowa.  A benefit for the family to help cover final expenses will follow and begin at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Odd Fellows Lodge, 1720 Blondeau Street, Keokuk.  A memorial has been established, contributions may be made directly to Barr Memorial Chapel, 1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, Iowa 52627.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Boyle family and an online guest book may be found at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
