Joan Carol Boatwright,77, of Montrose, IA, passed away at 1:42 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO.She was born on December 6, 1943 in Portland, OR to Benjamin Lincoln & Bessie Katherine Berry Campfield.She married Duane S. Boatwright on November 11, 1967 in Omaha, NE.He preceded her in death on January 14, 2008.She worked at Armour Dial in Fort Madison as a relief operator and also worked in the packaging department.She was a member of the UFCW Local 617 and the AFL-CIO Unions.Joan loved spending time with her family and friends.She enjoyed camping, fishing, relaxing in her pool, cooking, and shopping.She was an avid gardener and tree lover and would spend her quiet time crocheting.In her retirement years, she loved spending time with her beloved husband in Las Vegas.Most of all she was a giving person, and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

       She will be missed by her two sons, Tony Boatwright Sr. and Duane Todd Boatwright, both of Montrose, IA, one step-son, Bill Boatwright of Des Moines, IA; one daughter, Miley (Wes) Zander of Branson, MO; one step-daughter, Marilyn (Frank) Patkunas of Sanford, NC; one brother, Richard (Jean) Campfield of Earlham, IA; one sister, Betty Kay Campfield of Earlham, IA; 20 grandchildren:  Tony Jr. (Amanda), Cody (Ashlee), Logan, Shelby, Elizabeth, Erin, Jacob, Zack, Britteny, Erik, Zachary, Abbey, Gabby (Jordan) and Kelsey, Billy, Dawn (Rocky), Kristin (Amin), Jenna, Sandy (Jamey), Wayne, and Tracey; 37 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by:  her parents, Ben and Bessie Campfield; husband, Duane S. Boatwright; step-son, Ronnie Boatwright; brother, Benny “Butch” (Linda) Campfield; sisters, Francis (JW) Kirkpatrick and Katherine (EJ) Daughtery. 

       A visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Fort Madison.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev.
