FMMS 8th graders defeat Ottumwa
OTTUMWA - After trailing 11-2 in the first quarter, the Fort Madison Middle School 8th grade boys rallied to beat Ottumwa 43-30.
Aiden Mitchell had 13 and Dayton Lamar had 12 to lead Fort Madison. Caden Barnes had six, while Julian Dear and Brody Cashman each had four in the win. Justin Maither and Jackson Guzman added two each.
The B team lost 29-15. Guzman has seven for Fort Madison in that game.

FMMS 7th grade girls win
FORT MADISON - The FMMS 7th grade girls basketball team beat Ottumwa 46-16 on Tuesday. Dayonna Davis was the leading scorer with 20 points, followed byMara Smith with eight. Dynasty Bell-Washington, Halle Menke, and Hadley Wolfe each scored 4 points. Avery Rump and Ellie Huebner each pitched in with two. Menke led in rebounds with seven and Hadley Wolfe handed out eight assists.
Fort Madison won the B game 18-2. Addison Rump and Dynasty Bell-Washington each scored six points to lead the Bloodhounds while Avery Rump and Ellie Huebner each scored two. Bell-Washington led in rebounds with five.
On Monday the 7th grade Lady Hounds beat Fairfield in the A game 36-15. Davis led in scoringwith 20, followed by Mara Smith with six. Hadley Wolfe scored three points, with Halle Menke and Jaycee Fullenkamp chipping in two points. Menke led in rebounds with eight.
Fort Madison lost the B game 13-8. Avery Rump and Bell-Washington each scored four points to lead the hounds.
The A team is 3-1 on the season and the B team is 2-1.

Notre Dame edges CLMS boys
DONNELLSON - Burlington Notre Dame edged the Central Lee 8th grade boys Tuesday night 33-31.
Brayden Wyrick rolled with 22 points for the Hawks. Chase Johnson had five and Hunter Edlin scored four in the win.
In the 7th grade game Notre Dame won 34-21. Will Hayes, Brant Kraciun, and Ward Fraise each had four points for Central Lee. Kraciun had three rebounds. The Hawks are 4-2 on the year.
The Hawks play at home vs. Cardinal on Monday and travel to West Burlington on Tuesday.
