Mark S. Finley,78 of West Burlington and formerly of Ft. Madison, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 5:58 PM at the Great River Medical Center.

He was born on January 15, 1943 in Ft. Madison to Jack and Gertrude Kessler Finley. On March 14, 1970 he married Sandra Thoroughman in Hamilton, IL.After graduating from Loras College, Mark served in the US Navy as a Lieutenant Commander during the Vietnam era.He was of the Catholic faith and attended Sacred Heart Church.He worked at Amax in Ft. Madison and Koch Industries in Kansas.Mark was a car enthusiast, enjoyed reading, and was an Iowa Hawkeye and Kansas State Wildcats fan. His greatest love of all was his family, especially his grandchildren.

   Survivors include his wife, Sandra Finley of West Burlington; son, Jeff (Tina) Finley of Ventura, IA; daughter, Teresa (Mark) Seyfert of Lewisville, TX; four grandchildren, Megan Finley, Todd Finley, Lila Seyfert and Cora Seyfert; one brother, Eric (Judy) Finley of Davenport; three sisters, Susan (Ron) Coleman of Wilsonville, OR, Barbara Lawrence of Marietta, GA and Kristine Koenig of Gulf Breeze, FL; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother in law, Bill Koenig.

   Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A Celebration of Life and graveside service will be held at a later date.
