FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Community Hospital announced Thursday that it will be opening its indoor walking path weekdays, but announced some clarifications today, that will also be posted on their website.

Appointments for times to walk can be made by calling 319-376-2198 Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Do not leave messages as those will not be returned. Appointments will be scheduled as received and start Friday for the following week.

Walking times are limited to 45 minutes. The track will be open to the public from 7 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

All COVID restrictions apply, masks are required and social distancing will be enforced.

All walkers need to enter through Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Center where they will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

Walkers will be limited to six per hour. Loitering on the track is discouraged and walkers are asked to not park in patient areas outside the rehab center.

The outdoor path around the pond is also set for usage.
