Andrew James “Andy” Harl, 50, of Colusa, Illinois, passed away peacefully Friday, February 19, 2021 at his home.
Andy was born on September 23, 1970 in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of James R. and Karen (Dusenberry) Harl. On August 28, 1990 he married Vanessa Jairl in Keokuk, Iowa.
Andy was a 1988 graduate of Nauvoo-Colusa High School. Andy’s dream from a young age was to drive a semi. He lived out his dream for last 30 years driving over-the-road and locally. He worked for several different trucking companies, but spent most of his career driving for Dadant & Sons in Hamilton, Illinois. 
He was proud to be from the Colusa area. He was a proud member of  the NRA. He enjoyed colleting 1/64th toy semis, farm equipment and guns. Andy especially enjoyed helping others and would do so anyway possible.
Survivors include his wife, Vanessa; mother, Karen Harl of Colusa; three siblings, Karie Mathena, Kelly (Matt) Lemaire and Kade (Stacie) Harl; one uncle, Larry Dusenberry and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving is Andy’s mother and father-in-law, James and Betty Jairl of Keokuk, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father, James and his grandparents.
Cremation has been entrusted to Banks & Beals Funeral Home.
