FM man arrested in Illinois on burglary charges

NAUVOO - Nauvoo Police Department Chief of Police Mike Boley reports the arrest of Chevy Alan Frueh, 38, of Fort Madison, Iowa. Frueh was arrested on Sunday February 21, 2021, in Nauvoo.

Frueh’s arrest comes as a result of an investigation by the Nauvoo Police Department into a burglary that occurred in Nauvoo, on Saturday February 20, 2021. As a result of that investigation, all items that had been taken were recovered at multiple addresses in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Frueh is currently charged in Hancock County with the following charges:
• One (1) count of Burglary, a Class 2 Felony
• One (1) count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class 4 Felony

Frueh is being held in the Hancock County, Illinois Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond on those charges.

Assisting the Nauvoo Police Department in the investigation was the office of Hancock County State’s Attorney Rachel B. Mast and the Fort Madison, Iowa Police Department.

Frueh is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
