FM man arrested on felony sex abuse charge

DONNELLSON - The Donnellson Police Department arrested a rural Fort Madison man on a Felony Sexual Abuse charge.

Jonathan Thomas Jannusch, 26, of Fort Madison, was arrested on Friday at the Donnellson Police Department on a charge of sexual abuse assault 2^nd. Sexual Abuse Assault second is a Class B Felony. If convicted, Jannusch faces up to 25 years in a state correctional facility.

The arrest stems from an investigation by Officers of the West Point-Donnellson Police Department into allegations that Jannusch had committed sexual abuse to a minor victim in the Donnellson area.

The Iowa Department of Human Services and the Lee County Attorney’s Office assisted the West Point-Donnellson Police Department in the investigation.

Jannusch is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
