Keokuk couple arrested on marijuana charges

KEOKUK - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk couple on Felony and Misdemeanor drug charges.
Kyran Johnson, 21, of Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on March 4th, 2021 at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Johnson is charged with 3 counts of delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a public park each a class D felony with enhancements; possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-marijuana within 1,000 feet of a public park while in possession of a firearm, a class D felony with enhancements; violation of a drug tax stamp violation a class D felony; possession of a controlled substance-Alprazolam an aggravated misdemeanor; maintaining a drug house, an aggravated misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor.

JOHNSON

Kautious Braggs, 20, of Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on March 4th, 2021 at her residence in the 700 Block of Fulton St. in Keokuk, IA. Braggs was charged with maintaining a drug house an aggravated misdemeanor.
The arrests of Johnson and Braggs stems from a search warrant that was conducted as part of an ongoing investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into the delivery of marijuana within the Lee County area.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Keokuk Police Department, Lee County GHOST, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.
The defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
