LEE COUNTY - The Lee County Democratic Party will award three $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who reside in Lee County and attend Central Lee High School, Fort Madison High School, Holy Trinity High School, or Keokuk High School.
The local Democrats want to encourage students to follow their dreams through whichever educational path takes them there. The students must plan on attending an accredited university, college, community college, or business/technical/trade/career school.
Applicants must have a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.00 and show evidence of active involvement in school activities, community service, and/or leadership.
The application forms are available in the school guidance offices. The requested documentation and a 500 word essay on one of the questions asked on the application form must be returned to the schools’ guidance office by the end of the school day on April 15th.
