Shannan Freeman, 51 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 5:16 pm Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Select Speciality Hospital, Davenport, Iowa.  She was born May 4, 1969, a daughter of William and Sharran (Quitt) Freeman.  

Shannan graduated from Fort Madison High School and attend Western Illinois University at Macomb, Illinois.  She worked as a Medication and Nursing Aide at nursing homes and for home health.  She also did day care for children.  She worked for Walgreens and was part of the store set up in Fort Madison, as well as head cashier and photo specialist.  She loved spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens.  She loved her children and was both parents, as she helped with girl and boy scouts and little league. 

She is survived by two children: Payden and Amanda-Marie Jones of Fort Madison; her father; one sister: Shellie Piles; half siblings: Sharran Hermes, Earl Freeman, Annette Steffensmeier, Chris Freeman, Hazel Ann Gray and Carman Rivera; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and half brother, Rick Freeman.
