DES MOINES - Fort Madison junior Dayton Davis was named to the 2021 3rd team Class 3A All-State team by Iowa's print sports writers.

Davis has already been named to the Southeast Iowa 1st-team All Conference and the Iowa High School Athletic Association's Substate All-State team.

Davis scored 326 points in 20 games for the 8-12 Bloodhounds. The junior was third in the state in Class 3A in rebounds with 226. That number includes 96 offensive rebounds, which was tops in Class 3A and eighth best in the state in all classes. He was also fourth in 3A in steals with 59.

Fairfield sophomore Max Wheaton was also named to the third team in Class 3A.

The Iowa Print Sports Writers Association took over the All-State awards program in 2018.
