Hound runners earn four 1sts at Mepo, Washington

MEDIAPOLIS - The Fort Madison shuttle hurdle relay team and the 1600 distance medley runners took first place Tuesday at Mediapolis .

Macaden Rhoer, Henry Wiseman, Kane Williams, and Teague Smith claimed 1st place in a time of 1:12.51 in the shuttle hurdle. The 1600 Distance Medley team of Joey Dodson, Garrett Hannum, Dayton Davis, and Andrew Schaefer also took 1st place.

Placing second on Tuesday was Hannum in the 400 hurdles with a personal best time of 60.39 and the FM 4 x 400 quartet of Brock Califf, Hannum, Schaefer, and Davis with a time of 3:35.63.

Mikey DiPrima set a personal best in the high jump clearing 5-8" good enough for third. Other 3rd place finishes included: Hayden Wolfe in the 3200(11:46.38), the 4 x 200 relay team of Califf, Jakob McGowan, Dodson, DiPrima 1:35.70. Macaden Rhoer set a personal best in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 17.77 and the 800 Sprint Medley relay team of Kane Williams, Miles Dear, Califf, Landes Williams took 3rd with a mark of 1:43.77.

Senior Ethan Deacon was 4th in the shot with a throw of 45-5".

Rounding out top five finishes in Mediapolis was Jakob McGowan who leaped to a personal best 20-2” in the long jump. Deacon threw the discus 130-11”. Dayton Davis cleared 5-6” in the high jump. The 4 x 800 relay of Nik Fullenkamp, Dane Butler, George Hantzeas, John Cottrell with a time of 9:49.02 and McGowan sprinted to personal best 11.69 in the 100. Rhoer captured 5th in the 400 hurdles at 1.03.36.

Henry Wiseman hurdled his way to a personal best in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 18.57 for sixth place. The Hounds 4 x 100 relay team of Gavin Wiseman, McGowan, Dodson, Landes Williams also took 6th at 46.82.

At Washington Thursday night DiPrima jumped to a first place in the long jump with a personal best 19-9.5", while the 800 sprint medley team of Califf, Dodson, Davis and Schaefer took the top spot with a time of 1:40.14.

Ethan Deacon claimed 2nd place in both of his events, posting marks of 45-10” in the shot and 136-10” in the discuss. Davis took 2nd in a strong 400 field with a personal best time of 53.22 and he also claimed 2nd place in the high jump clearing 5’8”. The 4 x 200 relay consisting of Califf, Schaefer, Hannum, and DiPrima claimed 2nd in a good race with a time of 1:37.83. Garrett Hannum ran a 60.48 in the 400 hurdles taking 2nd place.

Rhoer, Wiseman, Kane Williams, and Smith placed 3rd in the shuttle hurdle at 1:12.90. Rhoer placed 3rd in the 400 hurdles 1:03.46 and he placed 4th in the 110 high hurdles at 17.80.

Running for the first time together Landes Williams, Wiseman, Dear, and Kane Williams ran the 4 x 400 fand placed 4th at 3:50.48.

Hannum competed in the 100 for the first time and clocked a 11.84 good enough for 5th place.The 1600 Distance Medley team of Wiseman, Dear, Landes Williams, and Fullenkamp placed 5th in 4:11.61. Henry Wiseman set a personal best again in the 110 high hurdles placing 5th with a time of 18.40
