Hound strikers move to 3-1

KEOKUK - The Bloodhounds blew open a 3-0 first half lead to shut roll Keokuk 11-1 on the road Monday night.

Jacob Pothitakis scored three of Fort Madison's goals two in the second half and the other to open scoring four minutes into the game off an assist from Leif Boeding.

Will Larson, Xander Wellman and Leif Boeding all scored two goals in the game. Larson's goals came at the 18 minute mark in the second half and then with five minutes left to set the mercy rule with the 10 goal lead.

Mitchell Pothitakis and Anthony Barnes had the other two strikes for the Hounds.

Reiburn Turnbull turned away two shots on goal in 27 minutes before giving way to Connor Gehling, who didn't have to defend a shot.

The Hounds improve to 3-1 on the year and 2-0 in the Southeast Conference with the win. They play host to Fairfield in another conference game on Thursday at Baxter Sports Complex.
