Ann M. Sanford,76, of Fort Madison, passed away at 11:23 AM on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Montrose Health Center.

   She was born on September 17, 1944 in Ft. Madison to Bernard and Genevieve Koellner Klesener.  On March 16, 1968 she married Ronald Sanford in Ft. Madison and he passed away on July 25, 2018, Ann worked at Sheaffer Pen Co. for twenty years and then at Catfish Bend Casino.  She was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Church. Ann was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing crafts, embroidery, painting and playing cards. 

   Survivors include one daughter, Jill (Josh) Neuweg of Oak Grove, MO; four grandchildren, Tyler Neuweg, Katie (Tyler)  Rung, Jacob Coffman and Abby Neuweg; three great grandchildren, Paislee Lamborn, Adam Smith and River Rung; two sisters, Jane (Dick) Sanford of Wever and Dolores Riepe of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Dennis (Barb) Klesener of Nauvoo and Tom (Sandra) Klesener of St. Paul, IA; several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Patty Coffman; one sister, Sister Roberta Klesener SSSF and one brother, Charlie Klesener and one brother-in-law, W.J. Riepe.

   Friends may call after 2 PM on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at King-Lynk Funeral Home where the family will meet with friends from 4-6 PM.  There will be a wake service held at 6 PM following the visitation.  The funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Ss. Mary & Joseph Church with Rev. Thomas Szydlik officiating.  Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
