WASHINGTON - Fort Madison senior and Quincy University recruit Brandy Walker scored two first half goals, but Washington would shut out the Hounds the rest of the way for a 6-2 loss on Thursday.

Walker's second goal came off a penalty kick, the other was off a crossing pass in from senior Claire Pothitakis.

Kailyn Guzman had six saves in the net for Fort Madison.

“We ran out of gas in the 2nd half and will continue to work on conditioning," said Kent Bailey. "Washington‘s team speed gave us problems tonight. Our defense will get better as we gain experience. We had several good opportunities to score in the second half and didn’t convert.”

The Lady Hound take on Fairfield Thursday on the road.
