FMCSD preschool openings available

FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison Community School District will be expanding its four-year-old preschool
program starting in the fall of 2021.
Two additional integrated preschool classrooms will be added at Richardson Elementary. Classes are currently full but the district will take names for a waiting list in the event slots become available at a later date.
The Fort Madison Community School District also partners with YKids and Carousel Preschools to provide no cost preschool options for our future Bloodhounds. Openings are available for YKids in their afternoon session and Carousel has openings available in both morning and afternoon sessions.

The new preschool program at Richardson Elementary has the option of half-day preschool(morning only) OR full-day with preschool class in the morning and lunch, rest and enrichment activities in the afternoon. There is no cost for the half-day preschool program. The full day program will have a fee of $100/week, with fees reduced or waived for those who qualify.
District transportation will be available for the Richardson programs and classes will be held Monday-Friday, following the district calendar. To qualify children must be four years old by September 15th, 2021.
The goal of the FM preschool is to provide early childhood education that lays the groundwork for future academic success focusing on strong intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development.
