Special Olympics Charity event
The Fort Madison Eagles Club will be hold a fish and shrimp fry on Friday, April 23 at 4821 Avenue O from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will serve as a fundraiser for Special Olympics Iowa, with a 50/50 raffle and karaoke. Sheaffer Golf Customer Appreciation

Live Healthy Iowa 5K
Fort Madison is one of 11 counties participating in the Live Healthy Iowa 5K on May 1 with a 5K run walk at 8 a.m. and a 9 a.m. 1K Kids’ Walk. Register now at LiveHealthyIowa5K.org

Salute to Small Business Breakfast
Huffman’s Farm & Home and Huffman Welding, Inc and the Fort Madison Chamber are sponsoring this year’s Salute to Small Business Breakfast. The breakfast is being held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 7:30 a.m. at Small Grand Things south of West Point.

United Way Golf Outing, Virtual 5K
LEE COUNTY – The United Way annual golf outing will be held on May 7 this year with a noon shotgun start. Registration and sponsorships are now available by contacting Karen at 319-524-4504 or at director@unitedwaygrr.org. The group is also sponsoring a virtual 5K event from May 21, to May 31. Registration is ongoing with a cost of $20 per person including a t-shirt, $15 to participate with no shirt. Shirts can be picked up at 511 Blondeau St. in Keokuk or you can include an additional $5 to have it shipped to you.

Old Fort Players "Leaving Iowa"
"Leaving Iowa" takes the stage May 7th - 9th and 14-16th with 7:30 shows on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. matinees on Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military and $10 for students. Tickets are available at www.oldfortplayers.com and the theaters Facebook page.

Glo 5K Crazy for Education Glow Run
This year's 5K event will be held live on May 8th beginning at 8:30 p.m. at Baxter Sports Complex. The run will be an untimed fun run to reduce runner interractions due to ongoing pandemic concerns. FMCH Foundation Golf Classic
LEE COUNTY – The Fort Madison Foundation golf outing will be held Friday, June 18 at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course with morning and afternoon flights. WEST POINT – Preschool story time through the Iowa State University Extension is being held on Mondays in March beginning at 10 a.m. at the West Point Public Library. This year’s theme is agriculture.

All Booked Up! is held Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. This week discussion will focus on the Underground Railroad. At 3:30 each Thursday is Thursday Crafternoons at the library. Facemasks are required.

FM YMCA
T-ball and Coach Pitch for 2021 registration deadline is May 2.
