Central Lee girls win, boys lose at MEPO

MEDIAPOLIS - Addy Brumble scored a hat trick tying up Mediapolis on two occasions and then scored on an assist from Kylie Davidson in OT to knock off the Lady Bulldogs 3-2 Friday night.

Brumble tied up the game at 1s at the 9:42 minute mark in the first half on an assist by Macy Watkins. With 9:45 left in the second half Brumble and Watkins teamed up again to tie up the game at 2, forcing OT.

The game-winning goal came with two minutes left in the first OT period. Bailey Schwartz had 10 saves for the night.

In the boys game, the Hawks were shut out by the Bulldogs.

Mediapolis scored in the first half at the 21:34 mark, and then scored again just five minutes into the second half before getting a final goal with 1:26 left.

The Hawks' Blake Moeller racked up 19 saves in the match. The boys move to 2-2 on the year and 1-2 in Southeast Iowa Superconference action.

They travel to Fort Madison for a 7 p.m. match Tuesday at the Baxter Sports Complex.
