FORT MADISON - Jacob Pothitakis scored five goals, the second with 10 minutes gone in the second half off a couple set up balls from Mitchell Pothitakis and Xander Wellman to set the 10-goal rule against Keokuk 10-0 Thursday night.

Jacob scored his first goal with just five minutes gone in the match, and then punched another one in :30 later off an assist from Michell Pothitakis. Jacob would get the hat trick just 10:30 into the match when he scored from the middle off a pass from Will Gager.

The Hounds then started to shake things up and Xander Wellman got in on the action finding the net twice in the next 14 minutes, all unanswered by Keokuk who had trouble even getting the ball into the front part of their offense.

Mitchell Pothitakis would score twice before the end of the first half on assists from Jacob Pothitakis and Nathen Bowen. Jacob Pothitakis got his fourth goal unassisted with four minutes left in the first half juggernaut for a 9-0 lead at the half.

Keeper Tate Settles had the clean sheet with just one save on the night as the Hounds defenders swarmed any advance by the Chiefs.

Fort Madison is 9-1 on the year and a perfect 7-0 in Southeast Conference action. They have a tough road match with Fairfield on Monday.

The Hounds also won the junior varsity match. Bowen had the hat trick in the 7-1 win. Leif Boeding scored on a penalty kick. Aiden Boyer, Carson Rashid and Jamarkus Kline all had goals in the win. Conner Gehling had 1 save on the night.
