DONNELLSON - The Central Lee Community School District will hold a graduation march parade and a graduation ceremony in honor of the Central Lee High School Class of 2021.

The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in the Central Lee High School parking lot. Graduates, driven by a parent/guardian, will form a caravan along a predetermined route. School personnel will lead the parade in conjunction with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. From the high school, the parade route will continue to Montrose, to Donnellson and then conclude back at the high school at approximately 7:30 p.m.

After the parade, the senior class representatives will welcome graduates, family members and community members to the 2021 Class Baccalaureate service at approximately 7:45 p.m. Face coverings will be required and social distancing will be encouraged.

The 2021 Central Lee graduation ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 23, at the Central Lee Track and Football Field. The graduates voted to hold the graduation ceremony outside so they could have unlimited spectator capacity. Attendees are encouraged to bring personal lawn chairs or blankets to use as additional seating. Seating will be first come, first served.

In the event of inclement weather, the Graduation Ceremony will take place in the Central Lee High School gymnasium. This shift in location will be announced on the District’s Facebook page (@CentralLeeCSD). Indoor seating would be limited to five spectators per graduate.
