Rauenbuehler tapped for P.E.O award

FORT MADISON - The prestigious P.E.O. Scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year was presentedto Maria Rauenbuehler, a senior at Holy Trinity High School.
Maria is the daughter of Tracey and Kevin Rauenbuehler and was recommended for this scholarship by Chapter KV of Fort Madison. Rauenbuehler hasbeen accepted and will attend St. Ambrose University where she plans to study Occupational Therapy beginning this fall
The P.E.O. STAR scholarship is a $2,500 award based on excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academics, and potential for future success. The program is open to young women who are citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States or Canada and who are graduating high school seniors at the time of application. A student must be recommended by a P.E.O. chapter.
The P.E.O. Sisterhood, founded in 1869 at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, is an international philanthropic and educational organization which promotes increased educational opportunities for women. There are nearly 6,000 local chapters in the United States and Canada with almost 250,000 members. The P.E.O. Sisterhood has provided over $321 million in financial assistance to more than 105,000 recipients.
Chapter KV is extremely proud of Maria Rauenbuehler. She fulfills all the requirements of the STAR Scholarship. We look forward to her continued success.
