Central Lee boys 7th at SEISC meet

WAYLAND - Central Lee's boys tallied 50 points to finish 7th at the Southeast Iowa Superconference track meet Thursday at WACO High School.

The Hawks ran shorthanded but got strong performances in the south division. West Burlington won the meet with 162.5 points.

Leading the way for the Hawks were Wyatt Schulte placing second in the 400 Hurdles in a time of 1:02.18.
The Shuttle Hurdle Team of Derick Denning, Wyatt Schulte, Logan Kearns, Thomas Eschman in a time of 1:10.60 took 3rd place. Chance Hocker finished 3rd in the 100 meters in a time of 11.92, and in the 200-meter dash posting a 23.97.

The 4 x 200 relay team of Eschman, Jonny Snider, Kearns, and Hocker also earned a 3rd with a time of 1:38.83.

Eschman claimed 5th in the long jump with a leap of 18-06.25".

The Hawks got 6th place finishes from Derick Denning in the 400 Low Hurdles in 1:09.19; 800 Medley Relay of Drew Conlee, Snider, Brendan Mulligan, Hunter Gregory in 1:51.45; The Distance Medley of Drew Conlee, Mulligan, Gregory and Grant Anderson ran a time of 4:37.61 also good for 6th place.

The Hawks compete in the 2A District Meet next Thursday, May 13th, at Eddyville High School.
