Darwin E. Lang, 71, of Montrose, IA, passed away at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Fort Madison Community Hospital.  He was born on February 16, 1950 in Chariton, IA to D. Eugene & Doris Kingery Lang.  He married Deborah M. (Frase) Nagel on August 15, 2001 in Keokuk, IA.  He worked for the Department of Human Services in Burlington as an income maintenance worker for over 23 years, retiring in 2007.  He was an avid lover of blues music, the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

       Darwin is survived by: his wife: Deborah Lang of Montrose, IA; 1-step daughter: Nichole Nagel of Keokuk, IA; 2-step grandchildren: Kearra Scott & Aubree Dade; 1-sister: Cathy (Ed) DeVos of Knoxville, IA; 2-aunts: Thelma Beaver of Knoxville, IA & Marylin Kingery of Knoxville, IA; 2-nieces: Stefanie (Dan) Pfeifer of Russell, IA & Summer (Brad) Six of Knoxville, IA and many other cherished family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts & uncles.
