Kokjohn named FMCH Employee of the Month for April

FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Community Hospital recognized Vicki Kokjohn as their April Employee of the Month. Vicki is the Vice President of Patient Care Services and has been with FMCH for fifteen years. She was recognized with this nomination:
This employee is always visible and always takes the time to talk with staff regarding any issues or concerns that may come up. She is always upbeat and will always point out the positives in any situation. This employee is constantly striving to do what is best for the patients and our community. She interacts with employees and is always ready to help others. If she receives a question she doesn't know the answer to, she will find the answer and follow up. This employee is accountable and always ensures follow through. She lives our culture which is part of what makes FMCH such a great place to work. She always puts the patients first, interacts with and cares about the employees, and acts as a positive voice for the organization.
When asked if there was anyone she wanted to recognize for making a difference in her career at FMCH, Vicki responded, “I have been blessed throughout my healthcare career – so many people have played a part in my continued growth and opportunities.I would have to say I have relied on the values my parents instilled in me, faith, hope, honesty, resiliency and hard work.” She also credited her co-workers with being her favorite part of working at FMCH, “the people, everyone who comes to work every day making a difference in our patient’s, families and each other lives.”
When not at work, Vicki enjoys spending time with her family, reading and being outdoors. The Employee of the Month is an initiative developed by the Reward & Recognition team. Each month a FMCH employee is honored for going above, and beyond for the good of the patient, their co-workers and the organization
