Beulah Louise Wright-Winemiller-Ogilvie, age 93, passed away peacefully in the home of her granddaughter Dawn VanBrooker-Harriott in Donnellson, Iowa.
Beulah was born April 28, 1928 in Clinton, Illinois to George Wright and Arva Swartz Wright.
She graduated from Clinton High School in 1946 and graduated from Rock Valley College certified nursing program in 1984.
She spent 10 years in the nursing field, worked 8 yrs at Swedish American Hospital and 10 years at Doughboys Donut Shop.She became known as “Grandma” at the donut shop and greeted people with smiles, hope, donuts, and coffee.
She collected jewelry, favoring turquoise, she also collected teddy bears, roosters, and chickens. She was extremely compassionate towards animals. In her time on earth she fostered hundreds of strays.
Beulah is survived by her daughters: Robin (Gary) Weigel and Cathy (Troy) Anderson; her two sons: Dale (Krys) Winemiller and Mark (Judi) Winemiller; 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Beulah is greeted into heaven preceded by her husband: John Ogilvie; her parents; her grandparents; 4 step-children; 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside ceremony at Croninger Cemetery in Cisco, Illinois, preceded by a celebration of life at the Cisco Center 325 N. Main, Cisco.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
