FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Police are looking into incidents of broken windows around Fort Madison in the past four days.

Fort Madison Police Chief Mark Rohloff said he thinks BB were shot at several windows in Fort Madison including the Newberry Center downtown, the Fort Madison YMCA, and Fort Madison City Hall.

Rohloff categorized the incidents at BB gun drive-by shootings and they are hoping area security cameras will reveal evidence that can be used to identify suspects.

He said nothing was recovered at the scenes but several of the windows and glass doors had holes or shatter marks from the BBs or pellets.

Typically he said BBs won't penetrate glass but they will cause a break or chip and then bounce away.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is encouraged to contact the Fort Madison Police Department.
