Nancy Jones, 86, of Pleasanton, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021.
Nancy was born on October 19, 1934 in Nauvoo, Illinois. the daughter of Lawrence Morrill and Rose Nicol. She married Harley E. Jones on June 14, 1953. 
Nancy grew up in the Nauvoo area, but raised her family in Portland, Oregon and later Spokane, Washington. Nancy became a nurse later in life and loved her job, giving herself generously to her residents. 
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Harley; one daughter: Debara (Scott) Hafemann of Savannah, Georgia; two grandsons: John (Tara) Hafemann and Eric (Lindsey) Hafemann; three great-grandchildren: Levi, Jack and Sophia. Also surviving is one sister: Linda Nelson of Nauvoo. Nancy loved their extended family and she adored a bevy of nieces and nephews. 
Nancy was preceded in death by her son: Douglas Eugene Jones; her beloved mother: Rosie Nicol; her step-father: George Nicol and two brothers: Sam and Robin Nicol. 
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Larry Hobby officiating. Burial will follow in the LaHarpe Cemetery.
A visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23rd at Banks & Beals in LaHarpe.
