FM woman arrested on drug charges

FORT MADISON - Amanda Davis, 36, of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested on May 27th, 2021 at her residence at Ivanhoe Park Apartments in Fort Madison, Iowa for felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

Davis is charged with Delivery of more than 5 grams of methamphetamine 2nd offense within 1,000 feet of a public recreation center a class B Felony; Delivery of less than 5 grams of methamphetamine 2nd offense within 1,000 feet of a public recreation center a Class C Felony; 2 counts of Drug Tax stamp violations each a Class D Felony; Maintaining a Drug House an Aggravated Misdemeanor; Possession of Marijuana a Serious Misdemeanor; Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance a Serious Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug paraphernalia a Simple Misdemeanor.

          The arrest of Davis stems from an ongoing investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that she was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Lee County area.

The Fort Madison Police Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lee County Attorney’s Office, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
