DONNELLSON, IOWA — The Central Lee Community School District has named a 2008 graduate as its next Activities Director.

Wes McGraw will return home to lead the Central Lee Activities Department, pending the approval of the Board of Education.

“I am very humbled and honored to have the opportunity to return to Central Lee as the Activities Director,” said McGraw. “Being able to work in the same district as my wife and invest in the community where we are raising our kids is a huge blessing for my family. I had so many great experiences and memories here as a student-athlete, and I look forward to serving the community, staff and students at Central Lee for years to come.”

Mr. McGraw will also teach physical education classes, including an athletic conditioning course in Central Lee’s state-of-the-art weight room facility.

“I am excited for Wes to join our team. To be able to hire an AD with the experience and leadership qualities he has is a big win for our school district,” said Dr. Andy Crozier, Superintendent. “I am very much looking forward to seeing how Mr. McGraw grows our coaching staff, works collaboratively with our stakeholders and expands opportunities for Central Lee students.”

Mr. McGraw will officially begin his duties at the start of the 2021-22 school year. However, he will be working this summer to transition into the role.
