  1. He should have never been running around loose to begin with. His offenses as an adult should have kept him in prison until 2033. His juvenile record is extensive as well I have been told.

He has been a notorious kid toucher for, well, ever. I doubt a kid who lived in the west end or who walked home east from Richardson School in the late 70s and into the 80s didn’t have George Carey stories. He’d try to lure kids into his garage or house with money, candy or to look at porno mags. He approached me at least three times walking home from school from Richardson. Twice after the police had warned him the first time. I ran home after he tried to entice me to go with him and told my parents who obviously in turn called the police. Lots of kids had the same experience I had. Some kids we knew of weren’t as fortunate and were sexually molested by him. Some older kids on their bikes clocked him in the back of the head pretty hard with a Pepsi bottle when he was out creeping in the alley one day. Probably the only punishment he ever received as a juvie.

  2. Wow. I can’t find the original story but, yes, that guy should have put away 40 years ago. He was my neighbor growing up. A predator.
