Jerry “Bud” Weber, 84 of Monmouth, IL formerly of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Heartland Healthcare in Galesburg, IL.  

     He was born May 15, 1937 in Keokuk, IA the son of Gilbert and Leta Perkins Weber.

Bud was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country from 1959-1962.

     On September 19, 1960 he was united in marriage to Carol Joy Reeves.  She preceded him in death on July 24, 2010.

     Bud had been employed by Keokuk Steel Castings for thirty-seven years.

     Bud enjoyed being on the river, trying his luck at casinos and going out to eat.  He treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. 

     He is survived by two sons, Myron Weber (Tina) of Monmouth, IL and Jerry Weber of Keokuk, eight grandchildren, Shane Weber, Rachel Dewitt, Tyler Weber (Laura), Cody Weber, Alicia Dewitt, Jay Weber (Sierra), Dakota Weber and Cheyanne Brewer (Keith) and seventeen great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by three sisters, Annabelle Weber of Keokuk, Dolly Gray of Kahoka, MO and Linda Jerez of CA and two brothers, David Michael Weber and Steven Weber (Donna) both of Keokuk.

      Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one great-granddaughter, two brothers, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.

     A Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 12 noon- 10 p.m., Sunday, at the American Legion Post #41, 727 Main St., Keokuk, IA.
