Loretta Herrin, 89 years, formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa died May 21, 2021 in Topeka, Kansas.  She was born July 31, 1931 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Leona (Brown) Buehler.  On April 19, 1952, she married Orville Lee Herrin in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on April 5, 1997.

She has been a resident of Fort Madison since 1974.  She retired from Dial Corporation after 20 years of service.  She was a former member of the Harvest Bible Fellowship Church.  

She is survived by her three sons: Michael (Sheryl) Herrin of Osage Beach, Missouri; Dan (Helen) Herrin of Topeka, Kansas; and John (Melissa) Herrin of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri; two daughters: Debra Thomas of Roseau Dominica, West Indies, and Dianne (John) Briggs of Waukee, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, two sisters, one infant son Steven Lee Herrin, one infant great grandson Ryan Herrin, and one son-in-law Peter Thomas.

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Harvest Bible Fellowship Church, Fort Madison.  A memorial has been established for Harvest Bible Fellowship Church, contributions may be made at the church during the service or at Barr Memorial Chapel, 1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, Iowa 52627.  Online condolences to the Herrin Family may be made from the Barr Memorial Chapel website, www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
