WEST POINT - The Holy Trinity Crusaders trailed by just two runs going into the fourth inning against Class 2A 15th ranked Van Buren, but an eight-run 4th put the game out of reach and sent the Crusaders to their 12th loss of the year.

Anna Sobczak and Brooke Mueller each had two hits on the night for Holy Trinity. Mueller, Mary Hellige and Kayla Box scored the three runs, all in the bottom of the third.

Hellige went four innings in the loss giving up 13 runs on 11 hits while striking out three and walking four. Halie Cain came on in relief in the final inning and gave up four runs, two earned on one hit and four walks.
