Police looking for WP man missing for three weeks

WEST POINT - West Point police are asking for help in looking for a resident who's been missing for about three weeks.

According to a release from West Point Chief of Police Brad Roberts, a missing person's report was filed on June 15, by family members of Darren E. Bunnell, age 54 of West Point.

Bunnell was last seen on June 12th, 2021 at approximately 7pm, after his father had dropped him off at his residence. On June 14th, a mail delivery worker sighted Bunnell walking north on 240th Ave., north of West Point.

"No one has seen or heard from Bunnell since that time. No foul play is suspected, and local law enforcement have searched the West Point and rural areas," Roberts wrote in the release.

Bunnell is described as a white male, 5’08” tall, and approx. 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, t-shirt, eyeglasses, and was unshaven.

Anyone that has seen or know the whereabouts of Bunnell, or has information, are encouraged to contact the West Point Police Dept., or the Lee County Sheriff’s Office 319-372-1152.
