Quincy team wins Lake Cooper Bass event

FORT MADISON - A team from Quincy won the Lake Cooper Open Bass Tournament held this weekend in Pool 19 of the Mississippi River.

The team of Daniel and Dylan Curless of Quincy came in with 15.54 lbs of fish with the largest being 4.36 which qualified them for the big bass award.

Fort Madison's Jeff Eaves and Richie Eaves from Nauvoo came in third place with 13 lbs of fish. The Curless team won the top prize of $546. Darin Olin of Macomb and Tim Kipling of LaHarpe came in 2nd place with 13.48 pounds earning them a $250 prize.

The Eaves team won $166 for 3rd place. The tournament was held out of Riverview Marina in Fort Madison.
