John Durham, 59, of Fort Madison, Iowa died Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at his home.   He was born May 12, 1962 in Westland, Michigan, the son of Arthur R and Mildred O (Solomon) Durham.  On March 16, 2015, he married Tatum Howell.  She survives.

John was a 1980 graduate of Temple Christian High School, Redford, Michigan. He served in the United States Navy. He worked in local factories, including Foam Fabricators and Borghi. He enjoyed baking, cooking, and singing karaoke.

He is survived by his wife, Tatum Durham of Fort Madison; his mother Mildred Durham of Garden City, Michigan; four children: Julia, Alana, Dustin, and Kassy; two sisters, Regina (Mike) Schumacher of Tennessee and Lisa (John) Gibbons of Garden City, Michigan; four grandchildren, one niece, five nephews, aunts, and uncles.  He was preceded in death by his father.

A graveside service and burial will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison, with Pastor Dean Graber officiating.  A memorial has been established, contributions may be sent to Barr Memorial Chapel, 1919 Ave F, Fort Madison, Iowa 52627.  Barr Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Durham family and an online guest book may be found at www.barrmemorialchapel.com.
