Nathan Mark Bollin, 66, of Keokuk, IA died Friday, August 7, 2021 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA.

     He was born January 20, 1955 in Keokuk, IA the son of Max and Bette Weirather Bollin.

Nate graduated from Keokuk High School with the class 1973. After graduation he worked for Hickey Contracting for a short time. He then joined the United States Marines and proudly served his country. After discharge from the Marines he was employed by Keokuk Contractors for forty years retiring in 2020.

     He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Keokuk. He enjoyed tinkering with motorcycles and restoring them.

     He is survived by three sisters, Mary Beth Frakes of Brighton, CO, Mary Jo Seaver of Nauvoo, IL, Mary Rose Bollin-Loth of Concord, CA, two brothers, Mike Bollin of Montrose, IA and Matt Bollin of Nauvoo, IL, his companion Cindy Platte of Montrose, many nieces and nephews and two aunts, Beverly Younggren and her husband Don of Buda, IL and Genevieve Simmens of Nauvoo, IL.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary "Katie" Kathryn Bollin.

    A graveside service with military rites will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Keokuk National Cemetery.

    Visitation will be held after 1 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2021, at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with family meeting with friends from 4-7 p.m.
