Robert “Bobby” G. Mitchell, 60, of Keokuk, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, at his home in Keokuk, Iowa.

Bobby was born on October 18, 1960, in Kirksville, Missouri, the son of Anna (Mitchell) Vossbrink.

Bobby was employed as a logger. His favorite pastime was fishing in the Mississippi River, especially for catfish and carp.

Bobby is survived by his mother Anna Vossbrink of Sullivan, MO; one sister: Clara Rice of St. Louis, MO; two aunts: Louise (Jim) Hanlin of Novinger, MO and Brenda (Steve) Thomas and family of Sullivan, MO; two cousins: Brenda Linder and family of Greencastle, MO and Tammy Founkin of Novinger, MO; and one niece: Megan Baxter and family of Morganstown, WV.

Bobby is preceded in death by his grandparents Claude & Clara Hill, Charles Mitchell and Tom Beers.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday at DeJong-Greaves-Printy Funeral Home in Keokuk. Graveside services will be held at 9 am on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.
